    Reverb B1 post movement

Brand new B1 variant on my new Trek, I've previously had older versions on other bikes and am familiar with the sideways play at the post head.

The new B1 has a lot less sideways play but has a tiny "knock" on vertical when fully extended. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Post is freshly bled, there's no air in the system.

Bleeding the remote has nothing to do with whether the post has movement at the top of the system. It is a completely separate hydraulic circuit.

Post should have vertical play anywhere in its travel.

The circlip/snap-ring at bottom of the post is your culprit.

It isn't a super tight fit into its groove, gives that bit of up and down slop. Every Reverb I've felt has had this.

Stick a bit of duct tape or something around it, re-install, good to go.

It's now fixed itself. I didnt do anything, maybe the circlip popped back into the groove.

On a plus side: The B1 variant has way less play in it than the original Reverb stealth.
