    Removing / Reusing Power Links

I am replacing a chain this weekend. My current chain has 3 power links on it. Can the be removed and thrown back into the baggie for future use?

Just squeeze the plates and slide them inwards while maintaining the pressure on the plates. It's pretty much the reverse of how you installed them in the first place.

Yes you can reuse powerlinks. I always keep several in my camelback.

they do wear some, but they would be great for spares. compare a new one and a used one. I would only put new ones in a new chain personally.
