Is it possible to repair XX1 trigger that is slipping

My xx1 trigger started skipping many gears when i pull trigger. Then 7 miles into 15mile loop it started slipping when shifting to lower gears. I could only get 4 gears from lowest. Very steep so it was killing me. Anyway had anyone repaired these or are they done? I tried searching and found one thread where someone said theirs was skipping. My internet is horrendous here so I may have missed some. It felt like some thing broke in the shifter kind of. I pressed to shift lower and resistance suddenly vanished. I think the tab going up into the top part must have broken a corner of or something. It still shifts a bit from 10tooth to 4th from lowest so the tab must still be there. I would appreciate any suggestions. Even if I buy a new shifter I would like to fix it for spare. 1.5 years on shifter with no real disasters.

Can a person just contact SRAM? I know I should talk to place I bought it, but I am on vacation thousands of miles away.
