    Help: XX1 crank seizes when torqued to specs
    I'm building an Ibis DV9 with 73mm BSA bottom bracket. Full DUB bottom bracket/crank XX1 eagle build kit. Spec'd and came with only the 4.5mm spacer for the drive side only, which is installed and correct per the SRAM pdf guide.

    After installing the bottom bracket and crank on the frame, one of the final steps is to turn the 8mm hex on the R crank arm to the recommended 54nm. But if I go beyond about 8nm then the crank/bearings begin to seize and the crank will not spin.

    Is the adjustment nut on the left side backed all the way off? That is how you preload the bearings.

    Should be really simple and straightforward install. Did a couple of Dub BSA installs myself.

    Like above, make sure the pre-load is backed all the way off and that there were no inner spacers on the cups (pretty sure that DV9 is a 73mm shell). BB should have come with the two 2.5mm spacers and the 4.5mm spacer (that goes on the outside of the BB).

    It was the two 2.5mm spacers on the BB which caused the problem. I trouble shot with Ibis and they helped me out A TON.
