Attaching XT12 shifter (I spec EV) to sram guide brakes

    (cross posting from shimano forum)
    Hi,

I have a bike that has SRAM Gx11 speed group, and building myself an XT groupset slowly towards upgrade.

I have a set of guide brakes (really love the modulation and feel of these) on the bike that i plan to keep.

any way (searched but found none) to connect shimano I Spec EV shifter to sram mmx brakes?

    thanks
    Oren

Try these guys...I used them to combine my SRAM Guide R lever mounts with XT 11spd Shimano shifter. They have various combinations available.

The Problem Solvers MisMatch 2.2 works for this, currently running it on my bike. Just make sure you remove the iSpec EV bolt from the Shimano shifter and replace it with the bolt that comes with the MisMatch unit.

Thanks. do you still get enough range of adjustment to the shifter?

I find that I’m able to get the shifter just where I want it, so no complaints from me. YMMV of course, depending how you like to run your shifters. I think here is somewhat reduced adjustability compared to the previous iSpec “standard” (is it a standard if they change it every couple years?) But I’m quite happy with this setup.
