    Adaptors for SRAM brakes

Iím trying to install a set of SRAM GUIDE RE brakes on a 2019 Epic Evo running F&R 180mm rotors. Iím using 20mm adaptors and have found the CPS layout documented below.

My question is, do I need the two spacers closest to the bolt head if the bolts do up tight without them? My concern is that with the spacers the bolt may be too short of give a solid fixing. I canít see how they effect the spacing, are they just there to cater for a longer bolt?

The conical shaped washers/spacers allow for the any alignment issues. They must be used on top and bottom for them to adjust for a caliper frame mount that isn't perfect. You can remove the top two and see if the caliper and rotor line up without issue and use the shorter bolt but I would opt for a longer recommended bolt.

Ah of course, I didnít think of that and it explains why I was having a little pad rub which no amount of tweaking could adjust out. Thank you!
