New Race face 36/22 ChainRing set shifts like a dream. Better than the shimano set maybe.
Bash guard is still in the mail.

Thanks. Forgot I also added the Easton Haven 710mm bars from my SS after I added wider carbon bars to that. Really looking forward to my return to Az after a wet summer here in Co I haven't ridden as much as I would have liked.

New Bash Guard with custom screw kit that makes everything rock solid, finally.

See the shim on the middle/inside to properly support the bash and guide the extra long bolt and allow it to secure the big crank gear, no more wobble or chain jerking.

    It also clears the FD.

Good job! Upgrades 2013 Stumpjumper Comp 26er

First was a 700mm Truvativ Noir T30 carbon riser handle bar.
Next was Sram Guide R brakes to replace the horrible Avid elixer 5's under warranty
and to finish up new red sip grips

here it is all put back together and converted to singlespeed.........ended up using smoke grey, being that I couldnt find gunmetal grey for less than $10 a can in my area......removed the small chainring and turned my bent big ring into a bash guard of sorts......being that I am using cheap wheels at the moment I modified a 6 speed freewheel to single speed.....ended up with a 32/16 combo.... had fun with it so far

https:// I've got a enduro s works 29 tld and have been tinkering with the idea of making the head angle a bit slacker.
A couple of weeks ago I decided to go for it.
I've machined 10mm off the shock and mount resulting in a 66 degree head angle and lower bb.

The thing rails and is much better on the real steep stuff. Love it.

Wish I had something sexy to post, lot of badass bikes in here. All I'm doing is maintenance this year, but did get a shock rebuild. I did the fork rebuild, but didn't want to mess with the shock. Feels like I upgraded something at least. Can't wait for the weather to clear up!

I picked up a pair of Roval Control Carbon wheels from Craigslit - I found a Command IR seatpost on here, and I upgraded to two piece rotors - I'm happy with the results.

I'm 63 and I ride three to four hours a day four days a week and that's the only saddle that has allowed me to do it without any discomfort.

Ok,after buying the Pikes at Christmas I swore I'd buy nothing else but it kinda went wrong !! lol...
Saying that my tyres were worn (a little),the Sram chainring WAS worn,I'd had a few problems with my Boomslang pedals, and the saddle did have a rip on the back of the saddle,so not too bad I guess !!!

On-One Smorgasbord and Chunky Monkey tyres.
    X.K.M Direct mount narrow-wide chainring 32T Type 1.
Blackspire Bruiser Beavertail 1X-2X Bash Guard 32t.
    Fabric Scoop Radius Elite Saddle.
    Hope F20 pedals.

Tore the tire and rim strip off and tried my hand at truing my rim. Its true within 1mm now. Was off by several due to a couple little crashes and the fact that the wheel set was assembled only a short time before I got the bike so the tension on the spokes changed after all the miles I put on it.

Now I need one new inner tube, new brake pads (tempted to try and pick up a set of xtr m950 v brakes to match my lever and derailleur sets), clean up, and re-grease it all and it'll be ready for riding again.

    XX 1 And XT

I finally got around to installing my XX 1 Group Set (7 months)and my Shimano XT M785 Brakes ($146) New with Ice Tech Rotor's 180 F 160 R. ($85) New
I went with a Chris King Ceramic bottom bracket. ($120) New
XX 1 Crank ($235) Guy took one 10 mile ride then sold it to me with a 32 Tooth Chain ring.
34 Tooth Direct mount chain ring. ($75)New
    XX 1 Rear Derailleur 2.1 ($239) New
    XG-1199 10 - 42 Rear Cassette ($258) New
XO Grip Shifter ($60) New Take Off couldn't pass it up
    PC-XX1 11 speed chain. ($30) New
Came out nicely so now the build is:
2012 Stump jumper Comp 29 HT With Reba RL dual air fork.
Light Bicycle 27 mm hook less Carbon hoops running tubeless. (Aprox. $1,000 to build)
DT Swiss Comp spokes white with Red nipples.
ENVE Carbon Sweep bars 740 mm ($150)New
Thompson 70 mm stem ($60) New
Specialized Carbon seat post ($80) New
Phenom pro saddle (Came with bike)
    Shimano PD-M520 pedals ($25) New
    OSI Chunky Grips. ($13) New

Only thing that is stock is the frame and the saddle.
Took awhile because I waited for the right deals and I also bought all the Park Tools and stand I needed to do the build.
The build was fun and it's worth every penny having the right tools like simple things like The Park Tool Dag-2 Derailleur Hanger Adjustment Tool found out my hanger was a little bit off with XX 1 you want it perfect from what I've been told.

The only thing I changed on my bike were the grips. The standard Sip Grips were too thin to my taste so I put on a pair of Odi Rogues.

    Kind regards,

Installed a KS Southpaw lever to my Command Post IRcc. Works perfect and feels great. Position on bar is very micro-adjustable.

I made some upgrades to the '04 SJ FSR Pro- Took off the XT 3x9, went to Full XLS 2x10 with XLS pedals, took off XT V-brake, went to XLS hydraulics with 160 rear 180 front, Command Post, WTB TCS wheels (I hope to never have to tape again- I'll re-hub the Mavic 817's) and installed a carbon Monkey Lite 660 bar. A little bit of valve grinding compound and the bar is set up nice. Rebuilt the Terralogic fork and the shock- love how easy Fox can be.
This is the first I've run with clipless pedals. I'm wearing Dainese Trail Skins and I'm using them well.

Sold my baby and got a super baby!

Sold my beloved 2013 Epic Expert Carbon(souped up to all XTR drivetrains), bit the bullet and bought mint 2014 S-Works Epic WC, upgraded to S-Works Phenom saddle, ESI Chunky grips, and Shimano RT86 Rotors. Couldn't be happier.

Last weekend I finally got some time to convert my tires to tubeless. I was expecting a lot of work but the Roval Carbon rims were already sealed so all I had to do was pull out the inner tube, put in a tubless valve, poor in some slimy stuff and inflate! I even managed to inflate them with a regular floor pump without much trouble :-)

I've had just one ride with this setup so far but it's working OK so far. The wheels sound a bit different, something I didn't expect. So far, so good. Now there's just my youngest sons bike left to convert to tubeless (a Trailcraft Pineridge 24" with Stan's rims on it).

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

I have 740's on My Stump Jumper HT and just got a set of the new 760's for my Carbon HT build also the ENVE Mountain Stem 70 mm and the ENVE seat post.
The LB wheel set should be nice also. I have had a set of the 27 mm with King hubs on My SJ HT for over a year they are awesome.

they are pillar 1420 aero spokes with black brass nipples.

also fitted the enduro specific corset today.. big improvement over the normal fox DPS. still not quite as good as a monarch though.

Speaking of upgrades, anyone know what the smallest chainring I could run on my 2016 stumpjumper 27.5 is? I'm wanting to go 1x, but don't feel like shelling out the cash to go 1x11

Depends on cranks. I can only go down to 30 front ring. One up makes a 42 big ring for your 10 speed cassette. They work great. I rode a true 1x11 and couldnt tell the difference between my 1x10. If 42 is granny enough you can get a 44 or 45. But I think those only work on 11 speed cassette.

Plus is a blast. This bike is like riding on a rail. Traction is insane.I have run as low as 11psi but that gets a little squishy. Mostly run 14/15 psi and I went tubeless (pinched tube on the first ride) no problems with the tubeless though. Im coming off a 29er running 2.1's so this is culture shock. I was really looking for the Trance/Bronson/Genuis/Stumpy 27.5 when I found this and they all were extremely awesome as well. The non-plus were a bit snappier. I believe the plus tires are more forgiving of mistakes. I think now that I have been on the plus I would feel odd going back but you cannot go wrong with a Stumpy, no matter the wheel size!

No pics yet, but I went a little nuts the last couple of weeks with my Camber EVO. First I scored a deal on a 120mm Pike. Bye Bye Reba RL! Then I decided I wasn't a fan of the stock Fox shock. Found the Monarch RT3 made for the Camber and swapped that last week. Big improvement, much more supple. Last night I pulled the stock formula brakes and replaced them with a set of Sram Guide RSC's. That's probably all I'll do for now, although I've always got my eye out for a dropper post....

Most of the components were beyond saving due to years of neglect and winter riding, the crank tapers are rounded out, headset is pitted and "indexed", and the brakes and derailleurs are shot. The good news is that the frame and fork were in very good condition except for a little surface rust and the obvious fact that the original paint had to go. After a few weeks of time in my shop I got it looking like a real bike again.

The Rockhopper is done, at least until I come across a decent more period specific crankset and some skinwall tires. It looks like a Fat Bike's little brother with the 2.4 Mtn Kings on there.

    Awesome and a nice job.
Where did you find the decals ?
I'm re doing my 1997 Rock Hopper I bought new in 1998 that I've had for years and ride daily.
    Getting rid of every thing going to 1 x 10 from 3 x 7
X9 Crank 34 tooth direct mount GXP bottom bracket 11-36 cassette GX Grip shifter X9 Rear Derailleur.
Haven't decided on V brakes yet maybe Avid single Digit 5 or single Digit 7
Installed a specialized 105 mm stem and 685 mm bars with ESI Chunky grips from my 2012 Stump Jumper Comp HT.
Next will be a new wheel set and Specialized Phenom comp saddle from my 2012 Stump jumper once I buy another Specialized Phenom Pro for the Stumpy.
I'm really liking riding this bike more these days since the up grades.
Even thou right now I still have the 3 x crank on it ran the 42 tooth for awhile now running on the 32 tooth to get an idea if 43 tooth is going to work or go maybe 36 or 38 ?
I've been looking for parts to re build the Manitou Bulge FS found the Manitou FS Bulge Elastomer refresh kit but nothing else yet

I presume it was this kit:
    https://www.suspensionforkparts.net/...esh-kit97.html

Parts for any Manitou stuff older than a decade is tough to come by.
I have a Manitou 1 from 1992 that I have opted to have custom coil springs wound for as it costs about the same as getting replacement elastomers and they will likely never wear out.

    Nice Thank You.
I haven't had time to look at all the decals but the pricing is really good.
I'm still trying to find a manual for the Bulge FS so I can make sure of what parts I will need.
I haven't taking it apart yet.
I'm sure it has springs I believe they are Titanium.
I was quoted $150 plus shipping to have it re built I might still go that route if I can't find a manual for it.

Had to put a new saddle on and decided to add a splash of color. The Phenom is sooooo comfortable. Love it.

I'm on a 2016 Stumpjumper Comp. The only cable externally routed now is the rear brake cable. Has anyone managed to get that cable internally routed? I have room to do so now after taking off the front shifter but I think the brake cable is a little thicker than the shifter cable so it might require drilling out the internal routing hole in the frame to be a little bit larger :-/. Don't know if it's worth it to do it or not but it would sure look badass!

New Fox float 34 which has been great so far. I've been having a lot of problems with the shimano xt brakes so I upgraded to guide ultimates. Also installed a pair of lizard skin dsp grips which i'm now waiting on to dry before I can bed the brakes.

    Tlc

Been irregular over the last two years due to adopting, only 8 rides in the last year, so now have more time for riding.
My 2011 SJ expert evo needed a fork and shock service/tune. ETC.....

I Used to be a serial bike changer every year, the bike is so great that just cant swap this one, will get a new bike probably in the next year (has to be Specialized) things have changed in the last year for my choice. 27.5, 27.5+ E-Bikes (2 friends have haibikes, both of them over 60) .
    So have done the following to get the bike like new;

Revelation WC serviced and tuned to my style/weight with a 15mm spacer by Jtech tuning.
Rear shock serviced by Mojo, (no custom valving though)
Today servicing my Command post, (last time messed this up and sent to Mark Dennis to fix)
    New Sram Cassette 1030 11-34
KMC Gld SL chain (never had chainsuck with these used them for years)
New headset bearings, though the top is slightly too thick possibly .5mm
New PF30 bearings Last me about two years in very wet weather, lots of grease when fitting.
    New SRAM steel small chainring.
    New Gamut Bolts .
New type of Gamut Roller as the round one always seizes.
Fresh Shimano SP41 outers and inners to gears and seatpost.
Greased the Roval rear Hub, have the upgraded ratchet in there. (rovals have been bombproof, superb) These are EL's.
Replenished Stans latex and new Roval tape.
Swapped from the nightriding bike a Easton haven smaller stem from the Thomspon, will take some getting used to. I'm 5'5" so fits just right.
Finished just in time for a ride last night felt like a new bike as the suspension was great, need a little less air in the fork.
Full clean and not a spec of dust.
All this cost probably £335, it will be used as a nightriding winter bike one day. Am wondering what it would be like with a new SJ or an enduro, might try to find a demo one day. The Evo has been a great bike and te new ones mst be great, if it cam down to two bike it would be a Comp 27.5 or 27.5+ SJ, wouldnt rule out an enduro.
Have to order 2 Hotrock 20" first 1 boys and 1 girls.

stuck a 27.5x3.0" tyre up front... 3.0" in the rear was too wide (fit without fouling, but would rub on corners) so a 2.8" is coming.

until then it's 27.5x3" up front and 29x2.3" in the rear!

    1 x 10 Conversion

Converted my stumpy to 1 x 10. Installed a Raceface 32 T chainring and a wolftooth 42 T expander cog. I also replaced the 15 T and 17 T cog with a 16 T cog. And removed the taco blade and added the spacer. Very happy with the results.

    Where to start...

Hi everyone spent too much time here lately looking at all the love thrown at your bikes.

My old (2007 or 2008? ) FSR XC has served me well over the years and as I am more of a cruiser than a thrasher the frame is still in great condition.

What's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-img_1633.jpg

I always thought that I would replace it at some stage, but as I'am fairly talent less and mainly just roll around keeping my wheels on the ground I went the up grade route instead. Picked up a new set of wheels awhile back, and the last few months I have replaced the fork, bars, stem, saddle and added a dropper post.

What's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-img_1635.jpg

What's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-img_1638.jpg

New fork and new tyres as well.

What's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-img_1644.jpg

Dropper post and new fabric saddle.

I have seen good reviews on the Fabric saddles and came across one in one of my local LBS and at $80 dollars well worth a try. This one is a Scoop Shallow it felt great after a four hour ride first time out. Then yesterday walking past another LBS they had stock of the Fabric's too (local rep must be working overtime ) They had the Scoop Radius which was the one I had really wanted to try, o'well whats another $80

What's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-img_1654.jpg

Had a quick one and half hour ride on this today and its the pick of the two on this bike. The Shallow is now on my hardtail MB, its a little more stretched out riding position and it seems a good match after a quick spin around the block.

A 1x11 setup is next on the list, that will leave just the frame and rear shock from the original bike.

The new Specialised bikes that I like the look of would cost me a fair penny and not really add to much to my type of local riding. I'am lucky enough to have single track like this starting a few hundred meters from home.

What's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-img_2650.jpg

What's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-img_2673.jpg

So the FSR Xc should see a few more years service yet.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

Make sure you zip tie the hatch cover that houses the cable release. They are notorious for popping out. Did on mine.

Recently sold my Airborne Seeker and got a 2014 Stumpy FSR Comp that was setup with 2x10 XTR, SLX brakes, and ZTR crests @ 27.05lb.
Waiting for some parts to arrive but going XT 1x11 11-42, X1 1400 direct mount crankset, custom WTB Freq i23/BHS wheels and a couple other items, should still be low-mid 27lb. This thing is so much fun! Will post pics when completed.

First i was very impressed how long the Spec tires least, the front Butcher was the first and it held 3 years Now i gone with the grid tire because it is softer than the control, the testride yesterday on my hometrails was nice and i think i could corner better (maybe the tire was new but the tread feels softer). The beaver was only one year old but it is way better than the Purgatory (which held 2 years) in muddy conditions, i almost never spin the back wheel in soft, muddy conditions, the Purgatory isn't bad but spins more. The best thing is the beaver rolls better too, because of the middle kobs. So i'm not worried if this tire only leasts one year, in the muddy season it ist nice grippy and in dry conditons when it is a litte worn it rolls nice.
Also put a 200 mm SLX rotor in the front as a replacement for the 180 mm deore.
For your information: I live in Germany, ride about 1000 km the year and also in the alps for holidays

I only have a Specialized Pitch 2017, a pretty basic bike because I'm kinda new in mountain biking, it came with a Suntour XCM suspension that I didn't really like and this week I changed if for a Suontour Epixon, really great upgrade. Now I want to change those plastic pedals, any sugestions? no clipless...

Brand new bike, set it all up, and flicked the stock tyres for lighter Maxxis Forekaster 2.35 and Ardent Race 2.2, then took it out on some loose and rocky singletrack.

Dumb question here . Guys at the shop told me i could not run grips other than factory on my stump jumper due to the dropper post lever clamping around the factory grip ... I bought ODI double lock grips just so i could 86 the factory grips and add a little extra cushion due to me being old and worn out ..

cut the stock grip the same width as the dropper post lever. Place it next to your new grips. That worked for me.

    The Eagle has landed.

Upgraded to a Wolftooth 42 a few months ago but it just didn't shift like I thought it would, sooooooo....... I upgraded to a Sram Eagle 1 x 12. Nice smooth shift to the 50 tooth. Much better.

Idea! Just Eagled my 2015 Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon EVO 29

    Hello,

Needed an extra gear for steep chilean mountains...so mommy brought me a brand new eagle minigroup from a trip to visit my bro in France.

    I've also added:
    Handlebar>Renthal FATBAR LITE Carbon 740mm 31.8 mm 40
    Stem>Renthal STRATA DUO 10° 40

Check my review and DIY for the Eagle installation here>

2016 Stumpjumper Expert 29. New chain and chainring. Swapped the chain first and was getting some chainsuck so swapped the chainring and drive strain is smooth and silent. Thompson Carbon handlebar.

In the Last Month or so since picking up my 17 Camber Comp:

    -Spesh IR dropper

    -KS dropper lever

    -RF Chester platforms

-One up components 32T oval ring

    -Converted stock rims/tires to tubeless

-Easton Haven stem and carbon bar

    -WTB Pure Pro saddle

    -Frame pump and bottle cage

    -Togs

    -Mudguards

-29.1 lbs without bottle and pump

Next will probably be new tires as I have a sidewall tear that slowly leaks in the rear, Stans wont seem to seal it completely. (reason for the frame pump)

Can you get an XD driver for the stock hub or did you have to get a new hub and/or wheel? I was thinking about going 1x11 via XD driver but thought I read somewhere the hubs didn't have one available.

    You may need new hubs.
I built new wheels for my 2016 Fuse Expert, Nextie Jungle Fox 52 on Sram900 Boost XD.
Then I had to install a new GX11 with XO cassette!
Fuse weighs in at 27 with tubeless Bulldozer 3.0 installed.

    Hand-me-down tires.

Got a deal on some new tires for the other 26'r and put the old 2.2 on the front of this one. Also, took a bit of time cleaning up the wheel hub and rims. No more fender clearance and time to do the rear wheel cleaning and tire swap now. The 2.2 rode nice on the other bike and these will replace skinny city tires that are a bit harsh for the old man-rider.

Put on DHF/DHR2 and went shorter and wider on bar/stem with an Easton Havoc 35 50mm and Race Face Sixc 35, cut to 780mm. Should be a bit more stable on the descents now. What's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-img_2602.jpgWhat's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-img_2601.jpg

Picked up this Stumpjumper aluminum 29er single speed hardtail as "for parts or repair" from local CL. Adjusting the brakes, replacing some of the seized nipples,...etc. My first 29er. I am excited.

Only picked her up on Sunday, but immediately swapped a few parts over from my old bike.

XT M8000 front brake/lever directly swapped over (rear happening today when hose shows up)
    Race Face Chester pedals
    light/pump/saddle bag slapped on

I don't imagine I'll need to do much else to it for quite a while as I get used to a whole new setup (coming from a Novara 26in hard tail.)

    Hail from Portugal,
This is my Specialized, a 2001 Stumpjumper FSR XC Comp

I've done some modifications and upgrades: rear and front disc brakes, changed the suspension - Rear Shock and fron suspension and the last modifications were the wheels - the rear hub was gone so I had to change to a DT Swiss.

The next modifications will be changinng the Bottom Bracket, if and when I manage to remove it

    And since this photo...

    Shorter stem
    ice tech rotors (still 203/180)
    butcher grid 2.6 up front
ground control grid 2.3 in rear (probably gonna change to purgatory 2.6 when this one goes.)
shimano m8020 pedals (not in photo, just put on last night... didnt crash!!!)
saint brake lines (gold banjo ftw!)
jagwire red shifter cable to rear
    taco/front derailleur/shifter delete
    30t raceface sinch NW chainring
    shimano 701 chain
    m8000 gs rear derailleur
    m8000 rear shifter
    m8000 11-46 cassette
added another token to fork (probably still need one more to get it just right)
nuked the saddle bag and frame mounted pump (keep stuff in backpack anymore.)

    So much for self-control. =)

Torq make a 500mm bottle that would probably fit. It'd go with your shock too!

Mixed emotions on the latest changes to my 2017 Camber Comp 29. Returned everything to stock to prepare for sending her on to a new home/owner. (pretty much everything from 1x drivetrain to stem, to brakes, removal of my dropper, etc. had to be mucked with.)

Reattaching the taco blade and actually routing that front shift cable was a friggin fun time too!

What's The Latest Thing You've Done To Your Specialized Bike?-4278496519226478443.jpg

Of course, it's not all bad news. Lotsa take-offs (some already have new homes.) And of course in a few days she's gonna be replaced with a 2018 Stumpjumper Expert 27.5 =)

Love the new stumpy, specially the expert version... Especially the 650b version. I would like to know how do you find the climbing ability between the two bikes. If you have the time let me know.

Only had it out for a few rides so far, and haven't pushed it much yet (still trying to get everything dialed in) but it's been great so far.

My Camber had Purgatory 29x2.6 in the rear, vs Butcher 27.5x2.6 on the Stumpy, and I did notice a little bit less grab on some rock wall climbs (the type that have tons of loose ball-bearing sized gravel bits scattered about) and the geometry does require me to change how far I lean into the climb a little, but that could all just be lack of familiarity with the bike and my generally shitty technique too. I mean, yeah there's a smaller tire contact patch, and the tires are different, so that part is just reality.

The 32t chainring coupled with the 50t rear is definitely nice. Camber was running 30 up front and 46 big gear in the back, so it's not a massive change, but couple the small gearing increase with smaller and carbon wheels and it's put a smile on my face =)

Made a decent number of changes already. Removed the Guide R brakeset and put my XT M8000s on, swapped the centerline rotors for my Ice-Tech ones, moved my red grips over, replaced the dropper lever (came with the plastic lever, put the metal SRL one on that came with my old dropper,) and put my XT M8020 pedals on. Also decided to keep the "SWAT MTB BANDIT" thing on the seat for the spare tube and one CO2 cartridge, freeing up space inside the downtube swat space for a bit more of a toolkit, 2oz of stan's, slightly larger pump than they'd recommend, etc. Got the Specialized top cap chain tool inbound as well to pair with the little multitool the bike came with so I can drop the Crank Brothers M17 from my ride kit entirely.

The front brakes were interesting to swap though. Rotor and brake went on fine, tuned up nicely, and all was well until i was hitting a pretty hard/fast descent. It was making a grinding type of noise under heavy load. Ended up determining that it was the rotor bottoming out inside the caliper.

Guessing that Shimano and Sram don't both adhere to the same specifications since the centerline rotors and Guide brakes didn't have that issue.

Took the caliper spacer off and put it next to the Shimano one from my Camber and they were clearly different. Shimano left, factory/sram/specialized/whatever on the right.

The shimano one pushes the caliper outboard just a bit more (and when measured with my calipers, was a tiny bit taller as well.) Slapped the Shimano one on, and life is good so far. Got 2-3mm of rotor-to-caliper clearance now. Just for reference, the Shimano spacer is model SM-MA-F203P/P.

All this time I figured the industry just used 200 and 203mm sizing interchangeably, but it seems like they actually are different.

Slowly ditching the camelback. Purchased a mountain Bandit for my Henge seat. Really secure and holds a tire lever and spare tube. May end up getting a C02 but I like the ease of a pump although I have not needed one in 2 years since going tubeless.

Ditched the front derailleur, shifter, cables, and 2X crank spider and went 1x10. Did an Absolute Black 30T oval NW direct mount chain ring and a Wolftooth 42t expander cog with 16t cog to keep it all smooth.

$120 to do this and may be able to recoup $40 so well worth $80! My cassette had worn grooves into the freehub body and made getting the cassette off a PIA.

Took off the stock Suntour XCM on my 2017 Pitch Sport and replaced it with a Rockshox XC30 (with the appropriate spring). It really improved the ride.

Pics are with the same length steerer tube...

Because good braking means dropping anchor when necessary, and despite having immediately replace the Sram Guide R's with my trusty Shimano M8000 XT's, I made the jump to 4 pot brakes finally.

Only two rides on them so far, but even in that much time they have been worth it.

Converted a 2011 26" Stumpy hardtail into a gravel bike.
Only re-used the frame, seatpost, BB, cranks and rear mech.

Still loving my Enduro but the latest upgrades were substantial. After the adventure on the Alpe d'Huez, my Cane Creek DB Air Inline was toast and I noticed the SRAM brakes were having a hard time. So, the rear shock has been replaced with a DVO Topaz and the brakes got upgraded to Hope V4's.

The rear shock is amazing and even though I don't need the stopping power where I live, I can feel it's a huge improvement.

Installed Push ACS3 coil conversion kit in the Lyrik on my 2017 Enduro. Haven't had a chance to ride it yet but really looking forward to the first ride. Also waiting on a TTX coil to replace the Monarch.

Didn't take long to grow weary of the Roval Traverse wheels. Had some I9 BC360s sitting. So....
