    Tires for snow

I have a Stumpy 29er HT with Control SL wheels. I was wondering what tires you guys would recommend for MTBing in snow. Im assuming I need high volume and long knobs? I was looking at getting last years purgatory 2.4 or maybe the new purg 2.3. I have a 2.3 ground control, I'm not sure how well that'll work. Everything else I have is for XC (i.e. fast traks and renegades). Thoughts? Recommendations? Butchers?

Nokians. Studded. Best choice for snow/ice.
