    service on a Specialized

    Hey all,
I have a 09 Hardrock. Part of my purchase from my LBS is I get free service anytime for one year. What intervals should I take it in at?

If you have a years free tune upsId say as needed....if you just bought the bike I would go about a month and a half before your first tune up....your cables will stretch in that time which will put your deraillers and brakes out of adjustment...basically I dtake it in when ever it seems to be out of adjustment

just take it in when something seems wrong, otherwise it will be for naught

The bike is brand new. Part of the way this shop gets you to buy from them and not another is they give you free service any time as much as you want for one year. The others do a 30 day and 1 year, one of them is exactly 30 days and 360 days no less no more. I figured I did not need to take it in every week, but thought there was a recommended interval for break in periods.

    Thanks

there isn't a specific time frame because everyone rides differently and in different amounts

just take it in when something is not working

    it's just a bike
