S-Works Epic carbon - noise issue!

Since three weeks my carbon S-Works Epic 2007 frame makes a cracking noise everytime I hit a bump or a hole. Even when riding up the curb I hear some sort of cracking coming from the front carbon triangle. The noice also occurs when standing up or just coasting. When removing the stem cap, the noise is really loud! So I thought it came from the headset - removed the fork, cleaned everything, greased up the bearing sealings & re- assmebled the lot. Same issue

Has anybody experienced the same? Could it be the headset?

    Carbon crackkk?

My GF's brother was just riding a brand new one she got (they are both about the same size for a medium/small frame I think) and on the first ride it made two loud cracking noises and then started creaking just as you describe. She called the shop and they think it might be a cracked frame. I found your post trying to see if there were others.

Please let me know if the shop can tell you what your's is doing.

    Thanks

Found the solution : saddle rails were not tight enough clamped in the seat post. I set them to 6Nm on my Syntace P6 - tightening to 7Nm solved the issue
