    Fork upgrade for 86 rockhopper.

Has anyone upgraded their old rockhooper with a suspension fork? .

    My frame's around 18".

Also It's only a 15 speed. Is it worth stretching the rear triangle to update the drivetrain. Is there any reliable indexed shifter for a 5 speed cog.

    Thanks

DOn't waste your time and money, save if you need to and buy a new bike, ride the whee out of what you have until that time.
Get off the couch and ride! :)

I'd have to agree with Natedogz. Unless your EXTREMELY into your '86, you could get a 15 year newer rockhopper on ebay for like 150 bucks. Seems like if you did go your route, it would just be a lot of time and effort that wouldn't really be worth it in the end.
