    EPIC 29er question: Q-Factor 156, work?

Just wondering if anyone has installed a XX BB30 Crankset on a sworks EPIC 29er.

    Q-156.....medium frame, 170mm crank arms.

    I have concerns.

You only have to read the Sram XX frame fit spec sheet and do some measurements with your frame.

I just purchased an XX 2x10 BB30 Crankset with Q-Factor 156 and 170mm crank arms and had them installed on my 2011 Specialized Epic Carbon Comp 29er. Yes it fit but the clearance is close. I rode it home from the shop with no problems but haven't tried in the trails yet. I can't imagine flexing my frame enough or putting so much sideways torque on my pedals to ever cause the arm to rub the chain stay.

So on your opinion, which would be the best option on the XX 2 X 10?

Probably not enough. You have a wave washer on the LHS of the crank to allow for variable end float. The obvious thing would be to use multiple PF30 washers on the LHS to replace a couple of mm of the 4mm spacer, but then you will need to work up a way to work with the bearing shield (the 4mm spacer mates with the shield).
