Specialized is making one, but don't know when it will be available. You would also have to drill & tap your frame for it to work. It does fit very nice though!

I've seen one and it appeared to be a perfect on the Demo frame. Let me see if I can find the link....

Where did you see one? I'm making these out of Kydex. If you want one, PM me with your address. Let me know if you want one to cover the whole downtube...like what is on my Demo or do you want one the size that is on the Carbon video?

Sugar Brad, Thank you sir. That is exactly what I was looking for. Got a flashy black Demo and want to keep it that way.

Thanks for all the input everyone! Got what I needed.

That's the inspiration. To many folks using them. Ugly but effective. Kinda like putting a welding mask on a hot chick before you take her.......well you know what I mean.

Carbon one is kinda pricey. $57.64 shipped, but it looks killer.

    *chuckle* SO true SO true.....

Is a bit spendy, but already 5k into the build so it doesn't matter at this point. I just ordered mine this AM, my buddies trek has one, really neat how it pressure fits on without any nasty 3m tape.

Do the ones that are hard do anything to stop dents? I'm just curious because something soft like rubber has natural damping properties, especially a 42a DH tires. Wouldn't a hard protector just transfer the energy into the down tube since its directly on top of it? Or am I wrong?

I like how sleek it is, but how much protection does it offer? Just from scratches and scuffs or from dents too?

another option. A friend has one on his demo. They weight pretty much nothing and deaden impacts and keep everything dead quiet. Home | Frame Defender
