    Lift Access coming to Arkansas?

So someone on pink bike mention there were rumors of lift Access coming to Arkansas, like what they did at spider mountain in Austin TX.

    Anyone hear anything like that?

Not sure about lifts, but they just opened paid shuttles at Lake Leatherwood in Eureka Springs from Slaughter Trail Guides.

There is going to be a lift park at Mount Magazine. I would guess around 2021 or 2022.

Yes. Itís happening at Mt. Magazine according to multiple PTD guys Iíve talked to as well as OORC folks I know. Evidently after survey, it has same vertical feet as Angelfire and there is rumor of a 5 mile downhill.

Is there any update on this? I have heard it will be done in the next year or 2.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves folks. This is going to take a while just to get permission to build. This is Federal Land (the state park leases just the top). Once permission is granted, final planning will have to take place, funding, and construction. In the meantime, you'll have the new Monument Trails to go play on. https://www.arkansasstateparks.com/t...onument-trails

Of course, that doesn't mean any of this is happening in the next year or even in the next 5... but it's great to see that the Arkansas bike folks are thinking big.

I heard the Mt. Magazine thing got delayed/nixed. I did hear they are working a lift access park and Woodward style bike park in the reasonably near future! I haven't heard any updates!

What I heard on Mt. Magazine is that they don't feel like they have the infrastructure, currently, to build a lift access park there. The civil engineering component of sewage, water, utilities, parking, etc... isn't prepared yet. So... it's on hold. No clue how long.

I've heard the same on possible lift-access up North on the Missouri border. Indoor Ray's/Woodward type facility is also a real possibility. I know there was a facility picked out, but I'm not sure if it stalled out due to COVID.
