Florida mountain bike trails Google Maps mashup

As much as I love MTBR's list of mountain bike trails in Florida, I prefer to search for them on a map (wonder if MTBR will ever add that feature). So I plotted a number of them on this map in the hopes that I'll be able to find the trailheads easier. I shared it with everyone and set it so anyone can edit it, so if you know exactly where a trailhead is, feel free to update it or add your favorite trail.

Oh, and if you know of a preexisting map that is more comprehensive and just as easy to use, please share as I wasn't able to find one by searching.

Oh nice. I'm actually headed to my mom's in Stuart and was looking for trails on the east coast, which is what prompted this. Maybe I'll swing by one of the ones you added.

you check out singletracks.com if you want more detail on those trails. They aren't very long but a few loops is nice.

Love the map, I wish MTBR did the same thing.

    Thanks Bjdraw for the map!

Btw - Croom location is a bit off. The parking is actually west of I-75, just above SR 50 (though you access it by first heading east on SR 50..to Croom Rd.)

For excellent trails maps to Croom, Boyette, and Alafia (best of West coast, if not FL!) go to the SWAMP Club website.

Anyone have details/opinion on Mt. Dora? Never been.

You should be able to update the location since I shared that map with open colaboration. I've yet to venture up to that trail, so I had to add it based on the mtbr trail list.

Mt. Dora trailhead location has been added to the google map found in the first post of this thread. Trail map can be found here:

Man, I'm jealous. I started riding in Tallahassee in the late '90s and miss it so much. I really need to plan a trip and hit all my favorites.

one you could add. it's flat but twisty. most people would just drive to alfalia, but if you want to stay near avon park, there is this one:
Preserve of Sun N Lakes is a 1350-acre nature preserve. Several ponds and marshy areas are scattered within the property making it an ideal bird watching site. No driving, hunting or camping is allowed. The Preserve is located at the west end of Sun N Lake Blvd. in Avon Park.
