I'm local to Santos, one of the trails runs behind my house, and it's been closed all month. I've been riding a limerock road out to a nature preserve to get some sort of riding in. Considering we're still under a stay-at-home order, I don't feel like driving to another county to ride whatever trails are open. Sucks, but I'd also rather not be around a lot of people at the time being anyway lol.

Thanks for the input guys. Been driving all over Florida lately thanks to a few suggestions on here and another forum. It's not like we ride on top of each other when we ride. Common sense goes a long way. I need to ride.

Depends on where you ride. I'm one of the builders out at Santos and the staging spot to drop into our D2 line is maybe 20' in diameter and there's usually 10-15 people hanging out there. In other words, not enough space. Same for our flow trail staging area. IMO, some of the more dangerous stuff like our drops/big DJ's should be closed for a bit. People get hurt there every weekend, no need to waste Fire/EMS resources at a time like this.

That being said, there's no reason the other ~80mi of trails shouldn't be open.

I believe the Grape Fruit Trails are open, but possibly only to Brevard residents. I think Croom is also open.

Grapefruit Trail only open to locals and closed for everyone else, as stated by BMBA.

There are enough bored locals who have decided to start biking/walking that are putting more traffic on the trails, so as much as I want to ride I've been staying local, riding solo, and avoiding any groups. Enough stupidity going around with people wanting everything to be open.

Exactly. I know a few people who live here in Ocala, yet are driving out of county, in groups mind you, to trails that are still open....only to add to the already increased traffic from all the newbs who were bored at home and now want to get into riding. F that, I'll ride solo and on the scenic trails until things settle down and open back up.

Just a heads up to you guys. I work at UM hospital next to Jackson. And for the past month both hospitals have been empty. No overflow. Not even close. Where are all the Covid patients? Take precautions of course. But the numbers you are being told are all fake. I challenge anyone in Miami or near Miami to come look for yourselves. This is not what you are being sold. Just saying. You believe what you want. I'm biking. I bike alone anyways

Are you ****ing serious? So I guess all those deaths reported all over the state are "fake" as well? Would you care to go tell that to the relatives of the diseased that their relatives are just "faking" it?

    Markham is open too.

As an aside, I also doubt the numbers we hear. Last weekend I was in Sebring and a nurse we met, works in Vero and told us the same thing.
People do die, but 104 year old patient with cancer and then died of Covid??? BS....

LOL sounds like sound people might not need to wear helmets since their brains have already fallen out. Seems about right for FL.

WTF are you on about this time, asshole? Don't you have a no-mask/anti lockdown protest to attend?

Im going to ask that you two do not interact with each other and keep this on topic. Anymore back and forth towards each other and you will get a time out.

    Please keep it on topic.
