AL, TN, GA, SC kids ride

Starting to plan spring break trip from central indiana to Tampa Florida driving and bringing bikes. Focus is on a good spot for an 8 year old daughter and 3 year old boy. Both like pump tracks and green/blue trails. Daughter likes the dual slalom. Looking for a midway point to spend a night and ride 4-6 hours.
Probably stopping once on the way down and once on the way back.

    What’s out there for kids?

Allatoona Creek just north of Atlanta wouldn't be far out of your way at all. Good mix of different trail types and there is a skills area with sort of a pump track.

Big Creek in Roswell has two actual dirt pump tracks but it is further out of your way, especially during traffic. The beginner trails are not as good and the intermediate trails are pretty rocky. There is a very nice paved greenway, though.

Blanket's Creek is not far out of your way and is probably the most popular trail system in North Atlanta area. About 3 miles of easy beginner trails and then more difficult intermediate and advanced trails. There is a skills area but no pump track.

You might also want to look around the Chattanooga area.
This post is a natural product. Variances in spelling & grammar should be appreciated as part of its character & beauty.

I don't think there's a pump track in chattanooga, but there IS enterprise south, and that's kinda like a big pump track in places. It's fast and flowy and not very technical. Probably a great place to take the kids. Bauxite is a lot of fun too, but maybe a little more climbing. Both of those are also close to the new downhill jump trail at White Oak if they like to get wheels up. It's completely rollable with roll arounds on the two box drops.

We are willing to go out of the way a little for a good place. Chewacla state park looks interesting.

It is indeed a pretty good spot with lots of different things, skills area, xc trails, flow trails, dual slalom, road gap, etc. It really wouldn't be too far out of the way, you could take 65S to Montgomery, then head east on 285 to Chewacla, it is less than 5 minutes off the interstate, from there take Hwy 280 from Opelika, AL to Tifton, GA and get back on 75S about an hour from the FL line.
So many trails, so little time.
