    WooHoo!! A Miyata Trail Runner

Just picked up this old school 1986 Miyata Trail Runner from craigslist!! Haven't seen these bikes since college days at UC Davis!!

It has new Kendas but all original parts - biopace, seat, deraillers all original.

I'm turning this puppy into a SS with 32/16,,,,I can't hardly wait.

    Catalog Pic for the Miyata:

Nice ATB. I like the lugs on the bike. Fancy. Is the crank 94bcd?

I'll be interested to see if you like the handling. I'm also hoping you will be showing more seatpost...

I like my seat low....I had to put the chain around the post because people have a tendency to ride off with bikes around here in Stockton. I believe the cranks are 110 BCD.

If the cranks are 110bcd the smallest you can do is 34 easily, 33 with some mods. Not a huge deal, but means 17t out back.

I don't love low seatposts from a pedaling efficiency/sizing standpoint, but if you are happy that is what matters.

I'm awaiting a conversion here, dammit.
