    Winter shots & the resolutions

Anyone got any winter shots yet? With all this weird n' whacky weather, post your snowy riding pics.

Tomorrow I hope to ride in the morning and snap pictures for you fuuls.

2009 will be a good year I think. Not just family-wise, but also riding-wise. I am planning on doing 24/9 in Wasau with Gomez, Normbuilt, Blatz, and some other folk.

I also plan on doing the Chicago triathlon, Trek 100, Dousman Duathlon, and just nice rides with Sarah, Annabel, Char & Ryan, and other friends.

I like that picture, nice to see two bikes and both having Luv Handles. I need to go ahead and buy the extra set we have for sell at the shop.

This is a picture of the Milwaukee Police pulling over ~80 Santas and assorted Elves and Mrs. Clauses during Santa Rampage a couple of weeks ago. We got off with a warning.

This shot is from a ride I did between the snow and melt phases we seem to be having this year.

This is me and my wife riding on a foggy wet day over the holidays, climbing out of the TL.

Cupcake, the Elf who didn't make the height cut-off set by Russell, is leading in that image. He stayed with me last weekend and gave me the low-down on all the stops and the play-by-play of the traffic stop. That officer won't be making Captain in this lifetime. At least the squads who responded to his call for back-up had a good nature.
Authorities speculate that speed may have been a factor. They are also holding gravity and inertia for questioning.

    First accumulation of the year.

A couple weeks later, snow is gone, but trails are covered in ice. In the 20's, but enough standing water to make caliper brakes tricky.

After we got 15", I'm glad someone owns a 4x4!

I've posted this on passion already, but here are my winter shots. Resolution? I don't really know. Drink more beer and play more video games? Is that good?

Yes. I have a 29er wheelset with 700x44 WTB's on it now but tomorrow the 26" Ice Spikers will be ready to hit the trail.

I Truly believe that the Surly 1X1 is more a chamelian then Santa Cruz

This was the clearest part of the now Ice Aged Trail

Ah, man, you had androgynous big bird show up for your ride!
All I had was 3 other guys wearing balaclavas, none of which remembered to bring a camera.
It was a great ride though.

Spent close to 6 hours in the snow today. After hiking uphill for a good amount of time, I found this sweet downhill and gave up my goal to reach the peak of the mountain.

It's a small trail on the Spitzberg (or Mont Sujet in French), a mountain in Switzerland's Jura close to the Chasseral mountain. Those familiar with DT wheels might recognize that name.
