    White Industries Freewheel Transplant

Per the WI website the trials freewheel only comes in 18t flavor. Is the inner driver the only difference between the trials and regular freewheel versions?

More to the point... Is it possible to transplant the 6-pawl driver from the Trials Freewheel into a 20t outer gear making a 20t freewheel with 72pt engagement?

Read a thread last week that confirmed it was possible. Not sure how and it might be an expensive transplant maybe.

have you contacted WI? They are pretty helpful in the customer service area when I have had all sorts of inane questions

It is definitely possible and there is a thread with pics in this forum, I think. Unfortunately, my interwebs searching skills = fail so I can't really help you with finding it.

Kinda figured it would work. Wouldn't make sense to manufacture different sized outer gears and different diameter inner drivers.

Awesome. Exactly as I thought. Good to know this works. Gotta figure out if I'm going this direction or with some CK hubs....

It can be done. You can order the parts from WI.
