Where have you been all my life....

First ever proper ride out on the new single speed and all I can say is wow. It's amazing. So quiet. So simple. Smashing Strava times because I can't sit and be lazy.

My legs hurt. I'm sweating like buggery. But you know what. It was the most fun ride I have had in a long time.

Thanks for everyone who has put advice into this forum. I'm a complete convert now.

Currently running 34x21 and I can make it up most climbs.

Awesome bike! Love the cotic line. I didn't realize they made one with sliding dropouts now. Just picked up a ROS 9+ from Jenson. Can't beat the steel ride!

It's from 2012. Same geo as the Solaris.

Haha, yep! It's a whole different feeling. You can try to explain it til you're blue in the face, and people just won't get it. You either know, or you don't. Sure, sure, I have my geared FS bike, but there's a reason my SS gets more miles put on it....

It's great. It's just...... easy. But not in a pedalling sense. I'm not thinking about gears. I'm just riding. I'm going faster because I know I need to hold speed. I'll keep the geared frame and the 1x10 set up. But only for when it's needed.
