    why not??

sounds like a good wheel set, although i'm a fan of dt-swiss hubs. That's not to say one is better than the other.

If you build them up make sure to post a mini-review.
I won a set of 355 rims (Thanks NoTubes/SSUSA!!!) and have been thinking about the same build. Only temptation to differ would be to put a hope hub up front for the versatility and cost.
I have been riding an older Paul hub on my Arch for a few months now and it's been bomber, couldn't ask for more. The newer versions are supposedly lighter and easier to work on without removing the wheel.
    Cheers,
    Matt

I prefer to run a free-hub hub rather than freewheels, but to each his own.

    No experience with Stan's rims.

As for the anodized nips, go with your bad self.

If you can, get Crests instead 355s. The extra width gives you a little more volume and stiffness.

I'm building my first SS right now. I was going to go with Paul hubs until I realized that I'm going to be spending a lot of money on this wheelset- so I went with a full cassette.

Ended up going with Hope ProII Hubs (comparable price for the front).

DT Swiss Revolutions to Stan's Crest rims

Hopefully these will last forever, and I can use them if I want to go geared someday!

I am not sure I understand why you want to use an super light rim and heavy spokes?

Definitely spend the extra cash for a butted spoke -- Revolutions or Competitions.
