    Wheel gurus - Velocity P35 on i9's

Could I have your comments on the following build:

    - Velocity P35 29" rims
    - i9 hubs (singlespeed) and spokes
    - Geax's Barro (f) and Saguaro (r)

I like the concept of a wider rim = larger "wheelprint". I am 5'11", 210lbs light and ride mostly XC and trail mildly aggressively.

I want to build my lifetime bike and want to start from the wheels - the "best" possible build in a generous budget. Suggestions welcome.

    Thanks in advance

I've got Gordos (also 35mm wide) and Hopes on my rigid SS - they work pretty well at providing the most out of the tire. Nice and stiff too - works for me at 6'3"/210.

It seems like it would be more logical to have the larger more aggressive tread (Saguaro) in the front and the smaller less aggressive tread (Barro race) in the rear.
