    whats up with this chain/cog

originally had an 18t DX cog in it with no problems (i assume being DX it is for a 1/8 chain)

changed to a HG 12t cog with no problems

now changed to a 12t bmx cog which is for 1/8 (per the suggestions here http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=214008) and i get this - see pic

    worn chain?
    wrong size chain?
    bad cog?

That is too weird. Never seen anything like it. Looks like it's time to start over.

It looks like you have a 3/16 chain and a 1/8 cog. geared bikes use 3/16 and 3/32 chain.
