What color should I trim this bike in?

Okay. I'll admit it: Im a bike whore. Looking good is just about as important as riding good. (Except when you have a high $ carbon machine that you ride greenways with...)

This is my singlespeed. It is a 2009 Fisher Xcal. The white rigid for has been swapped back for the white Fox that came on it. I like it. It fits my purpose. However, I want to add some STYLE to it. What color should I accent it with? Im thinking purple ano, or gold.

It needs new wheels.. It has clunky BWW Pure 29s on it. Im thinking a HBC chainring, seat post clamp, and something else silly to get started with.

It's Wednesday. Im bored. And I would rather be enjoying the 60* weather than sitting in class.

I would just go with some pretty white rims with red nipples and it would look nicey

That bike looks good in the white+red with silver and just enough black to contrast with the silver - it already has style. A teacher I had used to say 'Don't gild a lily'..

I know. I just wanted to buy something cool.

I see those HBC rings and cogs and just think of all the color options.

white+black+red is a nice combo. I'm doing a bike up soon that will have a similar combo in different proportions.

white frame, black hubs/rims, red nips, red bars, red bar tape, black levers, red bash ring. I haven't yet decided on the stem and seatpost, but since the crankset is silver I may match it.

Black hubs, silver spokes, red nipples, black (or white if you want it) stans rims.
Maybe red spokes either side of valve hole...
    Ti HbC ring.
    Keep the rest black...

Well if you want to be cool, then think black! CARBON FIBER!

Some Enve carbon rimbs, Red Nips, black Sapim spokes, Red Hope/I9/King hubs
Black Enve Stem or any other carbon stem (AX Lightness)
    Schmolke carbon bars
    Schmolke SL post (carbon)
    Smud carbon seat collar
    Silver King HS
    Smud Carbon seat
    Lightning Carbon crank (or Specialized)
Red HBC Ring (or black, even silver)

If the fork isn't carbon then either a rigid carbon one (White Bros) or the DT Swiss carbon fork or even a carbon Lefty (would have to change out the front hub though)

Some new MT8 or R1's in carbon

I think that would about bling it out for me at that point.

Seriously though, I personally don't like anno red on a red paint job. Combine that with some of the white stuff you already have and my suggestion is to keep it simple and just add some black in there. You could always get your crank coated by Crazy8 in flat black and then add a silver HBC ring which would pop quite nicely.

I wouldn't add more different colors.

Better use the colors you already have but change the balance a bit. The black rims make the wheels and tires look very very black and heavy now. Silver or white rims maybe? Same thing with cranks and rings: a silver or white chainring would add some contrast there.

i personally don't like silver bits especially the cranks, stem and seatpost. for me it just doesn't blend well with other colors. i'd go black just like the others suggested, and keep the theme to two colors.

if i would do a multi-colored bike, its going to be a rasta.

Someone Talk me out of this...

Option 1) I get this thing sandblasted and go for the brushed aluminum frame. I could pretend like it is Ti and I can do all the colors I want.

Option 2) There is a lot of chainsuck damage from when I was running it with gears. I could see if Trek will warranty it (think I heard that someone got a replacement.)

Option 3) Get is gloss white powdercoated/different frame. The 2010 Xcal is matte black and green. The 2010 Rig is white and gold!

Sigh.. I cant save money for the life of me.
