I use SRAM PC-1 chains. I run freehubs, but I believe most freewheels riders like the White Industries label.

From what I have witnessed, if I wasn't getting a White, I probably wouldn't care much what I got.

The SRAM PC-1 is a SS/BMX specific chain.

Yes, it is better to use a BMX chain over a cassette type chain, but in many SSing builds, it probably would not matter much.

It seems to work fine, and you can change out the rear cogs cheap. (no need for the $$$ cogs)

I also just put on my 2nd PC-1 chain, and have not had any problems with them.
(I am 220lb , and put alot of torque on the parts)

I like my setup, & just replaced Cog, Chain , & Salsa chainring for under $40.

But if money is not a concern you can go crazy with all kinds of cool stuff.

personally i think PC1's stink. i stretch them out really fast, sometimes in less than 5 rides. all the current technology is POURED into multi speed chains, super strong and take a really long time to stretch out. for the longest time i only used 1/8" chains on my singlespeed, but now that i tried a skinny one, i think they run a lot smoother. my current chain is the KMC X9SL, hollow pin and hollow links, so far so good.

Hope Freehub with Shimano DX sprocket and Sram PC48 chain. I don't see any wear on the sprocket after 1000km offroad. The chain doesn't stretch much either.

Currently I am using a Miche track chain. No stretch. But wears down the sprocket quite fast. but if you use DX sprockets this should be no problem, they are quite cheap.
The Hope freehub works. and works. and works.
