    Weight - Cannondale 1FG 2003

    Weighed my 2003 Cannondale 1FG - 10.65kg

    all stock expect for -

sella italia seat - reduced 100gms (approx)
    thompson elite seatpost reduced 110gms

    added two bottle cages - 65 and 35 gms = +100gms
added Juicy 7 brakes added 80gms compared with Avid mechanicals.

would like to reduce to sub 10kg by Crossmax tubless wheels set etc....

any suggestions for further weight reduction?

The stock handlebar could make a crowbar envious. Save some big weight there using aftermarket. I'm running Maxm bar & post.

I've got a weight tracking thread on my '05 1FG somewhere and am waiting for the spiderless Boone chainring I ordered in Feb (not a type-o). Apparently the ring is shipped so I'll finally be able to post final numbers.

Weight I've got for my 1FG is:
Frame (M includes seatpost collar and bottle mount bolts but not the rear der hanger) - 1815gr - includes the 122gr EBB
Fork (fatty 80 with lockout lever and headset bearings) - 1356gr

My running weight will be ~ 19.1 lbs with solid and reliable parts.

It's a sweet ride. Very flickable and crazy acceleration out of the corners. Lots of fun!

    Brakes are Formula B4 SL+
Wheels are Mike Garcia's Velocity VXC rims with WTB Lazer Disc hubs
Tires are home-made tubeless Kenda Blue Groove - Lite 2.0
    Handlebar and seatpost are Maxm
    Extreme Silicone grips
Saddle is WTB Rocket Lazer V
    Look 4x4 pedals
FSA carbon cranks with (hopefully soon) spiderless Boone 32 ring
    AM Classis CroMo ISIS BB
Endless 16t cog with Al. spacers
    Stock CODA stem (they're pretty light @ 140gr for a 100mm length!)

I'll have pics and exact weight on my old thread as soon as that [email protected] spiderless ring arrives. Weight is actually closer to 19 lbs bang on, but I've rounded up a bit until I see how much I save removing the FSA spider and what the Boone ring will weigh.
