    Voodoo Wanga

I'm considering a Voodoo Wanga as an alternative to a Kona Explosif / Unit
Anyone got one / tried one?
Are these 'sliding dropouts' any good, i heard that last years Konas had some
    problems with slipping.

    thanks.

    I've got both

and have had zero problems with either. The finish work on the VooDoo might be a little nicer, but overall I have no complaints with either. (I also think that sliding dropouts are a better solution to running discs on a single than the e.b.b. craze.) Both bikes are good handlers in the singletrack. I put a Psylo 80-125 U-turn on the VooDoo and had a shreddin' good time in Fruita last year.

    cheers,

I agree. Don't worry about the dropouts. They work fine.
When the going gets weird its bedtime.

And I love it. Whippy in the tight stuff with a nice spring to the frame, running a 90mm stem with a 100mm Magura fork and it feels spot on. The sliding drop-outs work great and it looks nice too. Sweet bike.

The "slipping" issue on the Unit is not an issue after all. I haven't had problems with mine so far, the only problem that I had was stripping the bolts. I replaced the bolts with deep head ones and problem solved.

The bike rides very nice and don't have any negative things to say about it.

Both are nice frames. They do have different geometry so I would pick the one that fits you and your riding style better.

    rigid fork for wanga

Only rigid fork I have seen is the Surly Instigator for 100 mm unless custom. Any other forks to choose from I have not seen?
