Vicious Cycles or IF rigid fork?

What should I expect to pay for each of these. Which should I choose?

I think I paid $200 for my Vicious new. I heard the IF was almost double....no idea why though.

Ironically, a couple years ago when I contacted IF about a steel 29er fork they told me to call Vicious (guess they had not dialed in the specs for a 29er fork or something). I found that a little odd.

I've got one of the early forks IF produced for a 29" bike. I got it new from someone who I guess was down with IF. Supposedly they said it wouldn't be cost effective to produce. I'm probably going to end up selling it though as my new custom frame will be coming with a matching non-susp corrected fork. The IF is 475mm, and my new fork will be 440mm. It rode at least as good as my Walt Works that it replaced.

    It's not odd.... it's refreshingly helpful :-)
