Under ground forts and secret trails

I visited an under ground fort and a few secret trails while I was in Arizona this Feb. Mike and I rode the Petrefied and Meat Grinder Trails in the "Boove". Show Low is yet to be discovered by many mountain bikers.

Mike is the last die hard single speed racer in the White Moutains, he's a ss legend in AZ. Mike is one of the coolest, nicest human beings I've known.

It was nice to see the blue sky and sunshine. I enjoyed riding this fine machine.

Fort? If that stove is underground worry about carbon monoxide poisoning.

    No monoxide, air intake

The wood stove has an outside air intake, no worrys.

Heres another shelter, more of an Indian pit house. It's dug in bermed up and covered with pine needles for insulation. It's hidden in a Manzanita thicket.

Good times, in Show Low, I miss the wild wild west.
