TT/ Triathlon saddle for SS mtb?

I have a few discarded but perfectly rideable tri saddles lying around and I was thinking about putting one on my SS rigid mtb. we SS riders spend a lot of time standing with our rectums precariously orbiting the pointy tip of our saddles and a saddle with a broad, soft nose might be nice for climbing. I think i'll give it a go. anyone else try it? I'll report back with my findings.

It is a saddle. If you find it comfortable, use it.

Personally, I run my seat on my SS lower than usual, as I mostly stand for climbs. The rest I can live with a suboptimal seat position to give better handling on the descents.

    To each their own.

this is not related, but my sit bone area was a bit sore and bruised after a recent, rather long ride. I made the following observation about saddles and comfort:

saddle comfort has a lot to do with your endurance and fitness. the longer you ride, the more fatigued you get and you spend more time just sitting on the saddle. the longer you spend sitting there getting your behind beat with the saddle, the more abuse you take leading to soreness later.
