    Trek Stache

Plan to make SS bike, have been thinking SC Chameleon, but I see that there is quite many used Staches for sale (with gears)

Have seen that some guys have had troubles running SS with Staches, due to flex on frame I suppose?

SInce there is quite a few Stache models / years does someone has any knowledge what models/year models is working fine with SS and what to be avoided. And all other Stache SS experience is naturally plus.

Unless you think you'll need 29+, I'd just go with the Chameleon frame. You can find SS hub wheelsets and other components etc on ebay( or classifieds here or PB) to build it up cheaper.

I love my Stache SS. I run it with the 1120 carbon Trek fork, Ibis 938 wheels, WTB Ranger tires (light casing), Sram GX crank, Thomson stem, Race Face SIXC bar, a Woodman carbon seatpost, an Ergon saddle, and SLX brakes. I got the frame for CHEAP (!!!) so the whole thing cost me about $1500. It is one the funnest bikes I have even owned.
