    Trash can bike..

I scored this old French Lotus from my LBS's trash!!! A little TLC and a visit to my parts box and here she is. I'm thinkin I'm gonna try a fixed gear on it when I can find a cheep wheel.

I have been saving these Moots Mounts for like 10 years for a special project

This is the first time I tried the PVC spacer thing. I cut it with a power miter saw and got it right the first time.

I need to find myself some new local bike shops. Mine are crap - nothing but trash in their trash. Like some of you guys, I need to find a shop that throws out 'projects' like these.

    cool, but...

[...pretty sure Lotus is/was a Japanese brand, not French. They used to make some nice high-end road racing bikes, Columbus tubing, chromed lugs, very Cinelli-like.
I stupidly gave away a bunch of Moots Mounts a decade ago, and have regretted it a hundred times since then.
Everybody on this board should email Kent urging him to re-introduce them; he could even skip the rollercam-compatible version this time around.

I'm sure its French, it's Reynolds tubing but not totally sure it's a Lotus.
Ya, I think one could do well reintroducing the "Moots Mount" I think there is a market for em. Not a hugh one but it's still there.
Maybe Brant at On One would do it. He did the Dirt Drops!!! I also think they could be redesigned even better.
