Time to really get into it? Frame ideas needed...

Converted a rarley used Schwinn Moab disc to a SS. Now I find I enjoy riding it (as well as walking it) more than my Intense Tracer. Still playing with gear ratios (currently at 34:20) and have utilized/vultured most of the parts from the darkest regions of the garage. After seeing the Santa Cruz Chameleon and Kona SS frame, I wondering if it is time to make the switch and buckle down and get a "real" SS frame? Any suggestions for a 200lb / intermediate / old dude / SoCal rider?

Pic shows early version / now with rigid fork (plan on doing new with a Fox Vanilla RLC that I have).

    hey bob!

fellow aliso-viejo rider here. i think i met you once doing trail work on dripping cave singletrack with rangers adam & tom..?

anyway, i have a new santa cruz chameleon ss (xl) that i'd be happy to let you try out. the more i ride it; the more i love it! if you're down with after work rides (or before work rides) we could meet up at AW sometime this week. otherwise, i'm planning on an aliso-laguna-el morro ride saturday morning.

    lemme know.
