    Ti forks, worth the money?

My Surley Instigator forks are real stiff. The bike is used on fairly smooth trails. Would Ti forks give a better ride? I have used suspension forks on this frame, but it really sets up better with a ridged fork. Where is a good place to buy a set?

    I've got a Spicer

The v-brake version. It does smooth out the ride quite noticeable over the typical steel forks, and I havn't put the sproingy fork back on the bike since I made the switch. Probably not a good idea if you're a clysdesdale or like taking big jumps.

Worth the money? None of this biking stuff is worth the money, but that hasn't stopped me yet.

I'm running one on mine also and I'm 220 in riding gear (well as of last year - working on that for this year) and I've never had any issues with mine. I really wanted a suspension fork but couldn't justify they extra maint the RS Sid's required. Now I'd never think of a suspension fork for my SS - I like it that much!

Just bought one (spicer ti disc) this winter and finally got a chance to try it out this weekend and I can definitely notice a difference from the P-2 it replaced. That said, its still a rigid fork.
