    Teardrop seatpost help

I have a no name aluminum track frame. No markings or serial numbers available. Anyone have any idea where I can find an aero teardrop seatpost for this frame? I added some measurements to the photo.

I know this is the Singlespeed forum, but the discussion here is 99.9% mountain bikes. You will have better luck on a track/roadie forum. Try the London FG board.

If you find a post, how would it clamp?

I've found 4 different teardrop clamps online but none of them list dimensions. If I get past the problem of finding a seat post, I'll worry about clamping. I could weld it in place if it were an aluminum post; however, most of the teardrop posts that I'm finding are carbon and $1-200. A leftover piece of 27.2 seatpost fits the larger opening quite well, I may end up wedging it and welding in a 27.2 round tube. Teardrop seatpost help-img_20171013_192758%5B1%5D.jpg

I can't wait to hear how this ends...
    Rigid SS 29er
    SS 29+
    Fat Lefty
    SS cyclocross
    Full Sus 29er (Yuck)

Stop asking how much it weighs and just go ride it.

I give up on trying to find an exact fit. I ordered a 27.2mm post. I'm going to cut a section of the bottom at an angle and bolt it back together through the seat post as a form of quill post (like a threadless stem). This should work but for piece of mind I'm going to try and make a custom spacer cap at the top to seal the seat tube and act as a bushing to keep the seat post from widening the seat tube. I'll update when I have the parts.
