    steel frame ding repair?

I have a steel SS. When it was shipped to me the people did a really good job of packing it. Including wrapping all the steel tubes in hard plastic. Unfortunately they zip tied the handlebars accross the downtube just below the plastic. So the only thing in between the steel and the handlebar was a piece of bubble wrap. Sure enough there is a very slight ding in the downtube on the side right in the middle. You can't really even see it unless the light hits it just right. Or unless you rub your finger accross.

It's about the size of a small fingernail and kind of like a little ripple about 3mm long. Should I even worry about it? Would it be possible to pop it out and what would be involved?

    Gene Spicer...

try gene at www.spicercycles.com. i think i have read once that he did some dent repair on someone's frame. as far as if you should worry about it...i think you will be fine. just take a glance at it before, during and after rides.

    cheers!

Sure you said this way back when, but it's only now having reached my eyes.

    Thanks!
