    SS'n ... 3-day weekend ride report

You didn't get out all 3 days ... right? How was your ride/rides ? Three rides @ Sierra Azul Los Gatos CA for me. Just realized you can list your state if you like as the SS forum can be anywhere in the world I suppose? SS'n ... 3-day weekend ride report-1203111251a.jpg

Nice! I was wondering when the elevation deal was gonna make it in here. Prolly 30 ish miles and 6500 ele. gain for my up/down fire trail tally. One of our local boys L.P. racked up 14k of up and some extreme beer consumption for the long weekend.

    Hi there -

    SS Noob here -

We rode two days at Edwards Creek in Greenville, MI. 7 mile loop with a little ups-and downs, lots of twisties, and some teeter-totter and wood bridges. I wasn't sure how my geared legs and brain would adapt to the SS life.

They did. Add another SS hipster to the list.

    About 22 miles

and a bit over 3000 elevation gain, to around 9,300. Rode bits and pieces of trail in the Log Chutes area in Durango.
What a great weekend, I was mountain biking while many others were suffering on road bikes to Silverton on Saturday, watched the Crit and Mountain Bike races while drinking a couple on Sunday, and out again on Monday for a short ride with my dog.

Saturday we rode the Nass. James and I were SS.

    it was steamy

Sunday we did a TdT with the guys from Bethel Bike. Only Doug and I were on singlespeeds as James dropped of his frame to get warrantied (he got to ride my geared HT).

Memorial Day was just a quickie before the beach.

Sunday Morning solo ride to shake down the new drive train.
Sunday Afternoon took my 8 year old (hotrock geared though she only shifts to beat me down the hill to the house) and my 4 year old on the tag-a-long.
Monday night solo ride. Saw two good size female deer in the dark and helped two SS'ers who were having mechanicals and facing walking.

Total 33 miles and 3952 feet of climb.
