    SS Ti Bonty

OK, so I know you can run a vertical dropout Bontrager with no tensioner in 36:18 or multiples of +/-4 teeth. Does anyone know if this is the same as the with the Ti frames? Who made the ti frames (Bontrager or were they outsourced)? Anyone got a website/spec sheet with the chainstay dimensions of the steel vs ti frames? Anyone gueesed I'm looking at buying a ti Bontrager frame yet?! (will then change my login name accordingly...)

    Cheers,

    Ian

All measurements should be the same. I saw a TiLite last summer set up as a single w/o a tensioner. I'd grab that bike asap!

Oh, and do be sure to post a pic or two of it when it's done, eh?

Yup, 1" headset, but then so do my 2 steel bontys and 92 SPZ rockhopper, so no shortage of forks. And I have a short torso and arms for my height :-)

IF i get it there's definitely gonna be pics! Will add the steel SS bonty to the gallery sometime soon too.

    Ti Bonty SS

I've set my Ti Bonty up SS using a SoulCraft tensioner, 34x19. It was sweeeet!!! I've since switched it back to geared and built up a Hunter frame the same way, only this is with a Hunter rigid fork and disc brakes. Have you considered a ENO hub on the rear? The specs for Bontrager frames is listed below.
