    SS Short track racing grearing?

I'm new to SSing. I did a short track race that was only 4 laps with some bumps but very little climbing. I ran 32-18 and spun out on the straights. I am thinking either 34-18 or 32-16. What do you think?

    Very little climbing? 32/14 on a 29er.
    I see hills.

    I want to climb them.

I think you should go 32x16 or 32x14.

Here's my story of last sunday race:
I am on an 'uphill race' last sunday 11.3km 40% climb 60% descent 32x18 on my 26 I spun like a hamster at on flats 35kph ROFL.

Well it's steep I run 10kph climb and 60kph on descent where those gears leaving me behind but I leave more gears behind too so it's fair enough - I still doesn't get it why they call this uphill race LOL. I think they judging the start point and the finish point on higher altitude so it's uphill LMAO.

So if you race on SS class the bigger ratio wins.
