SS possible on XD drive hub

Anyone know of a way to SS an XD drive?

The dealio. Thanks to a Santa upgrade I've got a spare set of oem wheels with SRAM hubs that are 27.5+. SRAM hub so it's XD.

I'd keep them so I could switch between 29 and plus on the new SS build I'm scheming. If I have to switch drives to big S they'll be in the for sale section shortly!

Thanks for dealing with my latest brainfart!

Was in the same boat ... luckily I found my old Shimano free hub in a bag! An American Classic 10 speed FH is incredibly hard to find these days.

would be a sweet opportunity. A cog with a fixed chainline that was compatible with XD. Would probably be more expensive than a cog and a shimano driver though haha

I'm pretty sure I saw a new product from Hope that allows a track cog to be used on a hub with an XD driver.

Not exactly the solution you're looking for, but this made me think of the Kappius Kh-1 hub, where the 42t cassette pops right off, and in seconds you just pop on a SS 'kit'. Shown in 39 sec to 50 secs in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ce7561AwSos

great hub, uber expensive though. I have their 1.5 hub and love it.

Ha! Problem solvers must have scrambled to update their site. It wasn't there when the article was posted earlier. Now they have the details as a coming soon post.

There's seems easier to work with than the carver converter. Still I don't see why they didn't just machine it with shimano splines so you can use existing after market fat cogs. That big stack of 6 bolt spacers seems it would be unnecessarily heavy.
