    SS officials

in the VW thread, someone made reference to an affiliation between VW and "SS" which I took to refer to the trek-VW cycling team and travis brown. apparently, the author had something else in mind!

but that led me to wonder who the most notable singlespeed riders/racers/promoters might be... obviously, mr. brown has an awful lot of exposure these days, with full page ads in national magazines riding moustache bar equipped SS's... who else makes the list of SS's elite?

along those lines, then of course...

sheldon brown and keith bontrager, as their respective websites have served as "how-to guides" for hundreds (if not thousands...?) of would be singlespeeders.

    i remember Gene-O

way back in the day when i raced the Buck Hill Thursday Night series he would show up and kick ass. he was a really nice guy, too. if anyone was racing (and winning) SS in minnesota back then (1995 - 1997), it was probably him.
