    ss disc brake ??

im new to ss world.im thinking of getting an surly 1x1 and build it up with an 80mm
    coil zocci.

is setting up the rear disc or Vee brakes a hassel since the wheel has to move now for chain tension. or it really no big deal.

ill be using a 9speed hub with spacers and a bmx cog. what about changing rear gear size
and may have to change chain length now also.

    thanks

Disc or V-brakes aren't a big deal. I *think* the 1x1's come with a disc brake adaptor that allows you to move the caliper in to the proper position. V-brakes are not problem, it's simply a matter of adjusting your brake pads.

Changing gear sizes shouldn't be a problem, so long as you initially adjust your chain length to set in the middle of the horizontal drop outs. This will allow you to change gear sizes without messing with your chain length.

Perhaps a 1x1 owner can confirm that the disc tabs allow for caliper adjustment.
