    SS conversion...

I have what could be a total rookie question... I have a older klein attitude (1990??) that I am thinking of converting over to a single speed.... I am going with a spacer kit on the back hub.. but I was wondering whether I could take the current cranks off and throw a SS crankset on there? I think that the old BB is a 75mm instead of a 68mm but I thought I should be able to take the cranks off and put something else on there... has anyone done this with this model??? Sorry if this a redundant thread
Thanks for any info that is out there....

a- check the FAQ in the upper RH of the SS page- most of your info is there.
b- there is realy no such thing as a "SS crank" but there are unramped and unpinned chainrings that work better. as an extreme example, the truvativ stylo ss cranks are ss specific only in that the spider is not drilled for a granny ring, but you could still run a middle and big chainring on them.
