SS adapter fo an XD wheel?

We are looking into producing an adapter that would allow an SS threaded cog to be installed on XD driver hubs.

    Just a couple of questions..

Has anyone seen or heard of something like this?
Is there a need for this, or would most riders just buy an HG freehub body?

    Thanks,

    Davis Carver

Haven't seen that. If I was stuck with an XD wheel I'd be all over an adapter for ease of install and likely lower price when compared with replacing the freehub body...but only if that adapter has the ability to adjust the chainline.

I just swap out the freehub...
...gives me a chance to look inside, inspect pawls, and relube after a cleaning.

The XD drivers attract lots of grit inside.

Three weeks ago, I would have been all over this. I ended up biting the bullet and getting a shimano freehub, which was a $100 dealer-only part for my Farley 7.

Not sure if it's even possible to do but I would be interested in a HG style shell that would mount onto an XD driver so I could then put a SS cog on it.

I bought an HG free hub. How close is the chain line if you thread an SS cog onto an XD driver body though?

Please clarify, because this actually makes no sense at all.
