Some stole my first and only SS!!

Somebody stole ***ker stole my damn ss on October 12th. I had it locked up on the campus of University of Wisconsin-Madison. My first converted ss and my first mountain bike that my parents gave me for my 16th birthday back in 2000. The bike that introduced me to mountain biking. Now some jerk took it from me, the bike that ment the most to me.

If anyone by any slimmest of chance sees it, please PM me, contact the authorities, and/or show the jerk a piece of your fist.

Here is a description of the bike:

    > Giant Eddie Bauer Mountain Bike
    > Converted Single Speed wtih DMR chain tensioner
    > Black grips with white stars
    > Blue and light silver frame with Eddie Bauer written in italics on the
    > downtube
    > Black rigid 1x1 surly fork
    > Black Bontrager Saddle
    > Black Bontrager Select Riser Handlebar
    > Black Bontrager Race stem
    > Black Promax brake levers and Deore V-brakes
    > Black Bontrager Rear wheel and silver front wheel
    > Silver seatpost

    Thank You.

That does suck. Check out the Budget Bicycle Center's used bike shop on regent street for any of your parts or something. I hope you get the bike back...but what if I see the bike and some schmoe riding it, and I punch him...I hope its not you I punch.

I work for the Wisc. State Lab of Hygiene. While we're located on campus (for now) and I'm classified as a faculty/staff member of the university, it's mostly a geographical association than anything. The lab is at the top of the hill on Henry Mall across the street from Ag Hall.

It was locked to a bike rack that was full of other bikes. It was a thick cable combination lock. Definitely something you couldn't take standard wire cutters to cut. I'm thinking whoever stole it had pre-planned it because I always park my bike there when I go study at the library. It really wasn't a decked out bike or anything. I guess maybe since ss seems to be such a fad to some people. They are everywhere now downtown these days and some bastard thought they had to have one....for free at the penalty of another's expense.
