    You know.....

You know what, that frame looks pretty nice. I am sure it will build up nice and be a pride of ownership type bike.

    Lookin' good....enjoy the ride.

You're going to need a lot of spacers for the steerer

That is a looong steerer column.
And a cool frame. Now, if there were a limited edition pink Karate Monkey, I'd be tempted. (I already have a limitless edition black one by one).

Good to see you finally got it...

i'm lovin' mine...and yes, you will get stared at. that purple is gonna look real nice, i'm hoping that whenever i can get around to upgrading that someone (king???) will make some baby blue hubs and headset...or maybe just put some red stuff on that really clashes.
regardless, you'll love it. the weather here is forcing the trail riding to be real sporadic, but i've gotten a couple rides in and been commuting with it every day. absolutely ZERO regrets.
    it's not bling...but it's pink...and OFS!

Nice dude, we must ride when you get that built and the weather clears up....hit me up an email whenever you want to ride.

If you want to cruise around the city, I'm game too...my pista just got some new bullhorns!

will do. the last piece to the puzzle, disc brakes, just got dropped off by ups so i'm definitely having it built up tomorrow morning. I'm probably going to city cruise on sunday if it's not too foul outside.

Thanks. Here's the pic of the tab. i got the marta sl's. probably should've saved 50 dollars and got the regular version but the carbon lever blade was too hard to resist! I got them from a guy off ebay that always seems to have them and he sells them for significantly less than retail or online.

Any current pics of this ride built up? I'd love to see the purple headset.

i have a lot more fun riding it compared to my full suspension ride i came from. at a bit over 20lb's the thing screams up hills and tracks very well on the tight trails. the ride is smoother than i expected but can still be pretty hard hitting up front but it's getting better with each ride as i learn better technique for the rigid SS'ing style. a true test is coming up in about a month when i head to pisgah for a week of heavy riding.

yea i rode pisgah over spring bread on my rigid steel (sorry not SS, heh) and it was tough at times, but by the end of the week I sure knew how to pick my lines carefully

Mango sounds pretty bad-ass. Pewter makes me think more of naked Ti or black steel.

I'd get the mango as well out of those two colors. I'm strongly considering getting a wheelset with the purple king disc hubs to match my mighty headset. if they werent so much $$$ i'd already have ordered them. hard to justify since i just had a custom set done with ac disc lite and velocity vxc rims a few months ago. which, i might add, kick @$$.
