    Sliding dropouts or EBB?

Any pros/cons of one vs the other? I have owned a frame with an EBB, but sliding dropouts are new. If I went with a new frame would it just be a toss up of one over the other? Or are EBB's on the way out and sliding drops the newer better design?

I say sliding drops...lighter, squeek proof, less maintenance etc.

    What frame is that?

What is the top frame? Is it a SSoftail? Have you almost found the new SS?

That's the prototype on-one titanium sliding dropout frame.

    It's for sale too!

    Close, but not yet....

I'm leaning toward a DEAN Duke which they will do an EBB, but I am intrigured by the rear sliding drop outs that it seems many more companies are offering now.....Plus they are lighter than an EBB, and you know what kind of weight wennie I am
I contacted DEAN to see if they will do a frame with sliding dropouts, but I would assume they are not set up for that feature.

If any there are any mfgs that read this post and you make a soft tail with sliding dropouts I am interested in a frame from you!

I'm not in a super rush as I still need to decide which FS frame I am going to keep and once that is done I can pull the plug on this. Another week or so.....
And then I promise I am done with new bike stuff for a while.

    Yeah....sure.

How many times have I heard this before? You would be bored if you weren't lining up a new ride.

I like the sliding drops on the Voodoo with those thumb screw adjusters to make certain the drops don't slip.

    You're PM'd :-)

However, it's 799 (free shipping to the US). 2 only in stock - 1 x 18in polished, 1 x 18in shot blasted. And both with full gear/brake routing and V mounts too.

That picture (in my excitement) is missing the set screws that push the front most bolt backwards to keep things in line.

Is keeping the two sides of the dropouts aligned a problem?

two sets of dropouts would be cool

one with out a derailleur hanger and one without disc.
    I've been inside too long.
