    49cm, 52cm or 54cm?
    Stand over height?
    Rider height 5'8" tall.
Measurement from crotch to floor is about 30 inches.
    I am thinking 52cm.
    Please let me know.
    Thank you.

Going to try the flat first and eventually install a drop bar.
I will be flipping the stem.

I'm not sure the correct way of measuring inseam.
From crotch to bottom of foot is 29-30 inches using a regular ruler.
So stand over height needs to be at least 1 inch lower than this?

A comfortable length for a flat bar is often too long for a drop bar. The hoods add a good 5 cm to reach. And vice versa. Switching between the two kinds of bars can be tricky unless you use a longer stem with the flat bars. You can learn how to measure your inseam online. Search. It involves a book and stocking feet and a pencil. If your inseam is 30 in you can go up to 30 if you want. It's up to you.

546 is on the long end for a guy your size when using a drop bar but who knows for you... you have to get on it to try it.

First I'd like to say that you been really helpful
49cm way to small for me? 539 top tube length.
I like my seat high but without looking out of place.

This is why noobs should not buy online. You really need to know your size/preference before ordering online. Proper way is to get fitted at your LBS. Or at least go rent/borrow a bike that you think will be a good fit, then go for a long ride. If it feels good, you have an idea of your preference and size.
