    Single speeding in sandles

Got ready to ride this evening and what a beautiful night. Ever get really stoked about a ride and then realize your spd shoes are 40 miles away? Arghh!!@%#!! I did have my Teva sandles for after the ride, but wearing sandles with 535's was not looking like a great idea. My buddy on his Ellsworth Truth and me on my SS wearing Tevas. I was going to just pack it up, but then decided to ride a lap anyway. Turns out I hung with him the entire way. Cranking hard on those tiny pedals was painful but my buddy has a new appreciation for SS and the power of a good pair of sandles.

If Jesus rode mountain bikes, he'd ride a single speed wearing sandals.

Ditto! I use them a lot during the summer and wear them on my commute spring through fall.

Once rode China Camp SS wearing Chuck's on Eggbeaters. Just kept thinking to myself "Eagle Talon!"
